Located in the south of Brittany, the Morbihan is the only department to bear a Breton name. Mor Bihan means "small sea". It is the Gulf of Morbihan, small inland sea, which appoints and makes the fame of the department. The Morbihan is indeed above all a coastal department which has more than 900 km of Atlantic frontage. Beaches, coves, wild coasts and dune spaces follow one another and create paradisiacal landscapes. On the horizon, four islands of the Ponant can be discovered: Belle-île-en-Mer, Houat, Hoëdic and the island of Groix.
On the land side, the canal from Nantes to Brest offers you the opportunity to cross the Morbihan countryside and discover its picturesque villages: Josselin, Rochefort-en-Terre, La Gacilly. On foot or by bike, you will always find a way to appreciate the diversity of local heritage.
