Les Hospices de Beaune

Hospices de Beaune

Symoble eloquent of the flamboyant Gothic style of the 15th century, the Hospices concentrate all the spiritual, artistic and vinicultural traditions of Burgundy.

The Hôtel-Dieu testifies to the Flemish influence of the Duchy of Burgundy. Let yourself be surprised by the gaiety of the courtyard, its timber-framed gallery, its turrets and its polychrome cover. Until 1970, the Hospitaller Sisters treated the needy, infirm and orphans in the midst of this harmonious setting.

The Hospices de Beaune have a vineyard of nearly 60 ha located in Côtes de Beaune, Côtes de Nuits and Pouilly-Fuissé.

The Hospices, a festive place and architectural manifesto, contain a museum of unsuspected wealth. The magnificent "Polyptych of the Last Judgment", painted by the Flemish Rogier Van Der Weyden, is the highlight of your visit.
