Château de la Lorie

Located in the north of Anjou, the Château de la Lorie was built in 1632. Since then, it has continued to be enlarged and embellished thanks, in particular, to work in the 18th and 20th centuries. The castle is today located in a sumptuous landscaped setting entirely designed by the famous gardener Edouard André. It overlooks a racecourse adjacent to the property and still in operation.

Every summer, the castle reopens its doors on July 1st until the European Heritage Days (3rd weekend of September). Open every day (except Tuesday), the guides welcome you for one-hour guided tours from 10 a.m., 11:15 a.m.; 2:30 p.m.; 3:45 p.m. and 5 p.m.

In addition, several events are organized every summer, such as concerts, plays, a contemporary art exhibition, a flea market but also, from 2024, the illumination of the east facade of the castle.

12-18 years old, students, unemployed people : 5.5 €

Group rate : 9€ / person.

Timetables

Open every day (except Tuesday) from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Annual closure from the 3rd weekend of September until July 1st.
