La Verna Cave
Discovered in 1953 by five speleologists the underground room of Verna, located in the historical network of the pit of Pierre Saint-Martin, is a high place of the scientific speleology of exploration. Its fame is world. Beyond its dimensions except standards, the underground room of Verna offers a singular vision of the geological history of the karstic solid mass of Pierre Saint-Martin.
In the middle of this mineral universe, one meets a remarkable, single fauna in the world which adapted to the life within the karst.
