SITE ARCHÉOLOGIQUE DE GLANUM

Site archéologique de Glanum

An ancient city at the gates of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. More than a century of archaeological research on the site of Glanum makes it possible to present the witnesses of an exceptional architectural ensemble. The local elites have taken advantage of natural resources, the perennial spring and the limestone, to adorn the city of a monumental jewel case unique in Provence.

Located in the heart of the Alpilles massif, at the crossroads of major roads, the Gallic city was bathed in Greek and then Roman influences and knew its full development from the 2nd century BC.

From the belvederes, enjoy an exceptional panorama on the site before coming to enjoy the pleasure of its sacred spring.
