Le haut-fourneau U4 is the last of the six blast furnaces of the Uckange factory. Witness of the formidable economic advancement of all the area in the years 1960-1980, this “monstre de fer” died out in 1991 to return to the life and opening to the public in 2007, after two years of work. He is one of rare testimonies of the iron and steel industry of the 20th century now preserved in France.

Le parc du haut-fourneau U4 is a place which is visited, is discovered, is apprehended. The public will be able to seize the life of the factory in its technical, historical and especially human dimensions.
