Musée du Prieuré

Through a permanent exhibition interactive and playful, the Museum of the Prieuré proposes to you to discover the small and the great history of the village of Salles Arbuissonnas in Beaujolais :

Founded in the 10th century, the Priory houses the last Romanesque cloister of the Rhone, a jewel of the Beaujolais. Built and then occupied by monks, the site experienced a real boom at the arrival of the Benedictines, elevated in the eighteenth century to the rank of Chanoinesses Countesses. Between religious life and secular life, these women of high nobility arouse the curiosity of the visitors by their unusual way of life and the beautiful houses they have left behind.

The Prieuré proposes to you to discover the original part of its history and its architecture, throughout a course and a historical diving in the heart of the site, free visit or guided tour.
