Musée du Papier le Nil

visiter Musée du Papier le Nil

The Paper Museum has been established since 1988 in the former Lacroix paper mills which became paper mills Joseph Bardou "Le Nil" until their closures in 1972. It perpetuates the rich Angoumoisin industrial past related to paper and related industries.

Renovated in 1983, the museum buildings are built on the river and form a bridge, going from the rue de Bordeaux to the island of Saint-Cybard.

In the rooms of the "rez-de-Charente", an interpretation center is devoted to crafts and industry related to the river. Upstairs, the temporary exhibitions show the variety of collections.
