Musée de l'horlogerie de Saint Nicolas d'Aliermont

Plunge into the history of watchmaking and precision from the beginning of the 18th century to the present day by visiting the Watch Museum that retraces the original know-how of Saint-Nicolas-d'Aliermont. It was originally founded by Charles-Antoine Croutte, who moved to Saint-Nicolas in 1725 and carried on this watchmaking adventure for two centuries that evolved till today through microtechnology and precision mechanics. The town is famous thanks to this know-how based on quality and precision, as well as works like the chimney clocks signed Honoré Pons, the marine chronometers of Onésime Dumas, the alarm clock produced in series by Bayard (1867-1989). Step into this world of time measurement through collections, testimonies, photographs, and the watchmaker's workshop.
