Musée des Arts Forains
Le Musée des Arts Forains has been installed since 1996, in the former halls to the wines of Bercy.
Founded by Jean-Paul Favand, the museum brings together four different spaces, with a particular theme: the extraordinary gardens of the Verdure Theater, the Carnival in the Venetian Salons, the cabinets of curiosities of the Théâtre du Merveilleux, the fair in the Musée des Arts Forains, the Magic Mirror, an old ballroom of the Roaring Twenties.
For more than 35 years, Jean-Paul Favand has thus constituted an important collection of objects of spectacle which remains today the largest of Europe. The dreamlike staging offers the public a wonderful and interactive journey to the heart of the fairground arts.
