Dominating the Alsace plaine to 757 meter altitudes, the Haut-Koenigsbourg castle has all the assets of a fortress : a strategic position relatively easy to defend formerly and today an exceptional panorama on Alsace plain, Vosges, Black Forest and sometimes Alps.
