Le Grand Théâtre

Le Grand Théâtre Bordeaux

Inaugurated on April 7, 1780, the Grand-Théâtre de Bordeaux writes its history to the rhythm of events that punctuate its existence. Victor Louis is the architect of the building still known today as one of the most beautiful Theaters of the world. The exceptional acoustics due to the wooden carcass which envelops it adds to the aesthetic value of the structure.

Today, under the direction of Marc Minkowski, the Opéra National de Bordeaux manages this scene and offers much of its programming.

We propose you to discover one of the most beautiful theaters of the eighteenth century and the operation of an opera house. At the end of your visit, you will find in the rental hall, La Boutique.
