Grand Site de France Gorges de l'Hérault
The Gorges de l' Hérault (genuine canyon in the heart of the garrigue), the medieval village of Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert ("Plus Beaux villages de France") and 9 other villages located between the Hérault Valley, Grand Pic Saint Loup, Cévennes Gangesoises and Suménoises. They will once more testify the label "Grand Site de France" rewarding the richness and value of the natural heritage, as well as for the architectural treasures inherited from the Middle Ages ... Let us quote the Abbey of Gellone, jewel of the 1st Southern Romanesque art and the Devil's Bridge, listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO as the Paths of Santiago de Compostela, the Cirque de l' Infernet, the Clamouse Grotto, Argileum, the Issensac bridge and the Arcs ravine.... and in addition, a land of excellent vineyards !
