Fondation Bemberg

Salle Venis Fondation bemberg

The foundation created by the patron Georges Bemberg offers a panorama of western art from the end of the Middle Ages to the 20th century, through collections exhibited in old-fashioned rooms, surrounded by period furniture.

Since 1995, the Bemberg Foundation has been located in the magnificent hotel of Assézat, a jewel of the Renaissance. Created by Argentinean patron Georges Bemberg, it proposes an artistic journey of art in the West from the end of the Middle Ages to the 20th century.

The first floor is organized in salons of Renaissance and XVIIIth century where furniture and art objects mingle, reviving the interiors of time.

The second floor is devoted to impressionist and post-impressionist painting. Do not miss the room dedicated to Pierre Bonnard, exceptional for his 35 paintings.
