Conservatoire botanique national de Bailleul
The Garden of wild plants : explore a 9,000 m² landscaped area with nearly 1,000 species of plants labelled and presented in the form of thematic plots. Natural environments are reconstituted (dune, wet meadow, calcareous grassland, peat bog, etc.), in order to better understand the importance of conserving such a living heritage. A walk through the Garden of Wild Plants is the chance to escape in the heart of the plant world and its secrets.
The medicinal plant garden covers an area of 1,500 m² and counts about 500 species of medicinal plants. About ten specific biotopes made up of plants used for condiment, aromatherapy, cosmetology, etc. are presented. The species found here are mostly wild and of diverse geographical origins.
