Located in Calais in the heart of an authentic lace factory of the 19th century, the City of lace and fashion is the reference museum of lace called "Calais-Caudry". Both a fashion museum and an industrial museum, its vast galleries present techniques, sewing and haute couture, the most contemporary aspects of this high-end textile.

In its gallery of exhibitions, it presents great fashion designers or young designers of renown. The Cité dentelle offers all year long the possibility of varied activities for the visitors: cultural activities for families, exchanges-meetings, textile workshops, guided tours, artistic interventions and shows. Installed in the heart of the city, the museum also offers several services: auditorium, restaurant and boutique, documentation and archives center.
