Created at the beginning of the 19th century by Alexandre Brongniart, administrator of the National Manufacture of Sèvres, Le Musée National de Céramique unites, preserves and presents the ceramics of all times and all countries. Besides the terracotta and glazed earthenware, earthenware, sandstone, porcelain, stained glass, painted enamels and glassware complete this vast panorama of the arts of fire.

After 200 years of existence, this collection of world reference today counts more than 50 000 objects of ceramics of which nearly 5 000 porcelains of Sèvres.
