CHATEAU BEAU-SEJOUR BECOT
Located on the limestone plateau of Saint-Martin de Mazerat, immediately west of the magical city of Saint-Émilion, Beau-Séjour Bécot is at the heart of the appellation.
Since the Gallo-Roman era, this site is dedicated to the wine business. In 1969, Michel Bécot bought the vintage and brought its area to 18.50 ha, thanks to the acquisition of new plots of the same terroir. Under the vineyard, he built seven hectares of ancient limestone quarries, where he stored tens of thousands of bottles.
Following on from his two sons, Gerard and Dominique, many technical innovations took place in the winery and in the vineyard to select the best grapes, picked and sorted grain by grain by hand.
Juliette, Gérard's daughter, joined them in 2001 to promote this family property.
