L'Abbaye Musicale, la Cité aux Dames
The abbey church of Notre-Dame is one of the jewels of the Romanesque art of Saintonge. On its richly decorated portal, there is a varied fauna. From the steeple, shaped like a pine cone and covered with stone scales, is visited.
You will contemplate the town of Saintes. From the chapter house to the nuns' cells, you will discover the conventual buildings.
Artist residency, arts education program, concert season, l'Abbaye aux Dames plunges you into an atmosphere conducive to discovering and listening to music.
In June 2019, the "course" will be finalized. A fun and innovative visit for the whole family, on the theme of music, it counts a dozen stages in the heart of the Abbaye aux Dames.

In June, July, August and September : every day, from Monday to Sunday : 10 am-7pm = last visit departure 6 pm
L'Abboutique is open exceptionally depending on the events, evenings of concerts until 11 pm, for tastings-discoveries, group visits ...
