Dimanche Sans fin
Exhibition Sunday Without End. Maurizio Cattelan and the collection of the Centre Pompidou.
For its 15th anniversary, the Centre Pompidou-Metz is offering an exceptional exhibition that will take over all its spaces, from the galleries to the Forum and the rooftop terraces, with works from the collection of the Centre Pompidou, Musée national d'art moderne. It celebrates the movements of art history in their plurality, highlighting rare or unexpected pieces on the theme of Sunday through 27 ABC sections and raising social, political and aesthetic questions, in dialogue with the work of Maurizio Cattelan.
Since its opening, the Centre Pompidou-Metz has had the privilege of presenting many works from the collection of the Centre Pompidou. To celebrate this rich partnership, this exhibition presents rarely exhibited works and pieces that one would not suspect were present in the collection, by highlighting the movements of art history in their plurality. The extraordinary wall of André Breton's studio and Marcel Duchamp's chess table, which recently joined the collection of the Musée national d'art moderne, are majestically presented there.
