Musée du Platin
The Platinum Museum owes its name to its exceptional situation on the sea front, but above all to its maritime vocation: to be a testimony of the traditions related to the sea (pertuis boats and life restores).
La Maison du Platin deploys its collection on 4 levels of exhibition :
- Traditional origins and activities of the island
- Ré - Continent links
- Habitat and costumes
- Temporary exhibition.
The Platinum Museum offers guided tours for groups and animations for young audiences throughout the year.
Rates
Museum entrance : Individuals : 4 € / person - Groups : 4 € / person
Guided tours and walks : Individuals : 5.00 € / person - Groups : 5.00 € / person.
Timetables
April to June and September: Monday to Friday : 10 am to 12:30 pm and 2 pm to 6 pm - Sunday school holidays and holidays : from 2 pm to 6 pm - Closed on Saturday.
July - August : Monday to Friday: 10 am to 12:30 pm and 2 pm to 7 pm - Sundays and public holidays : 2 pm to 6 pm - Closed on Saturdays.
October: Monday to Friday : 10 am to 12.30 pm and 2 pm to 5.30 pm - Sunday of the school holidays and public holiday : from 2 pm to 5.30 pm - Closed on Saturday.
Visits and animations possible all year by appointment for groups of more than 10 people.
