CHATEAU ET JARDINS DE LOSSE

Vue aérienne château de Losse dordogne

The Castle of Losse, on the D706 at 5Km from Montignac-Lascaux, is an obligatory passage between the caves of Lascaux and the National Museum of Prehistory in Les Eyzies.

The medieval fortress built in perpendicular, dominates the valley of the Vézère. It is enclosed by walls and bordered by deep moats. A large Renaissance Logis was built between 1570 and 1576. It contains an exceptional decoration and furniture from the 16th and 17th centuries.

The gardens on the terrace and in the walls are the setting. They were labeled "remarkable gardens" in 2004 by the Ministry of Culture. They will leave you a memory of perfect harmony.

Guided tour of the Grand Logis Renaissance (40 minutes) and visit at leisure gardens, ramparts and moats using multilingual sheets.
