Château de Caumont
Located 40 km west of Toulouse, in a wooded park of 50 ha on the hills of the Gers, from where one can enjoy a beautiful view of the Pyrenees, the castle of Caumont was built On the remains of a castle that belonged to Gaston Phébus and where Jean-Louis de la Valette was born, Duc d'Epernon celebrates Cadet de Gascogne.
The castle consists of a body of building between two wings, the right one of which was rebuilt in 1658 following a fire, flanked by 4 strong losanged towers at the corners. The entrance door and the drawbridge no longer exist today, only the two turrets that once flanked this door remain. Inside, many will be your discoveries ...
Around the castle there is a park of about 10 hectares where, in May, hundreds of irises cover a part of the moat giving this place a special charm.
