A watermill in the XVIth century, the Moulin de la Veyssiere located in Neuvic on the river Isle in Dordogne is the last active walnut oil mill in the Vern valley. Owned by the ELIAS family since 1857, seven generations of millers succeeded one another and perpetuated the tradition of the artisanal manufacture of walnut and hazelnut oil. The visit will demonstrate the history of the mill and the walnut in Périgord, the process of making walnut and hazelnut oil, ending up with a delicious tasting.  Discover the gourmet shop in the old bakery of the mill with homemade products, derivatives of the walnut and hazelnut. This visit will delight the craft lovers and the gastronomy enthusiasts.
