Expo Le Musée sentimental d'Eva Aeppli

Eva Aeppli was an original, independent and free-thinking artist from Switzerland who spent too long in her husband Jean Tinguely's shadow. Her unique work can't be pigeonholed. It is still as outstanding today: her graphic pieces, sculptures, textile figures and slender life-size mannequins give her work a humanist and existentialist viewpoint. She was friends with Spoerri, Klein and Nikki de Saint-Phalle and her work has been rediscovered over the last 15 years. She was a trail-blazer and still clearly influences the contemporary scene. This retrospective is the first devoted to her in France and reflects the dualities between her work and her life.
