Maison forte de Reignac

Maison forte de Reignac

Classified as a historical monument, it is in Périgord the strangest, most secret, the most extraordinary and the most mysterious. Built on an escarpment overlooking the valley of the Vézère, Reignac has known everything : since Prehistory 20,000 years ago when hunters used these vast shelters under rock to protect themselves from the cold until the Middle Ages and the building of the Castle Cliff.

Infinitely bigger than you can imagine from the outside, the facade hides impressive underground and aerial rooms, Great Hall of Honor, weapons room, dining room, living room, kitchen, bedrooms, chapel, Dungeon, ass-bass (dungeons), cellar.

Many surprises await you throughout your visit, with an international exhibition on the theme of Torture and the Death Penalty.
