Fromagerie-Musée

Fromagerie Muée Trépot

Situated in a picturesque Franche-Comté village, in the fruit-growing area of Comté, the Trepot cheese dairy stopped operating in 1978 but has retained its typical character of a Comté workshop : La Fruitière du village awaits you Since 1818! Here nothing has changed: the workshop is immediately noticed with its monumental fireplace with its red copper tanks, curious fireplace, screw presses, churns, charettes ...

All of the cheese maker's tools are in place : the curd slice, the milk brewing machine, the cream pocket, the cheese stone, the milk chamber with its rondots. The cellars or lined up 200 county millstones are still fragrant !

Guided visit of this former workshop, discovery of the secrets of manufacture, embellished by an astonishing short film and a tasting of the king of cheeses : Le Comté.
